Concert Under the Stars
Each June, the Gateway City Big Band provides great dance and easy listening music for this annual social and fund-raising event. This is a wonderful summer event that always includes many people of all ages, from the parish and beyond.
Weather permitting, the event is held outdoors, with both table and lawn seating. In inclement weather, the music is supported by the great acoustics of the sanctuary.
A cocktail hour with appetizers is provided before the concert for those purchasing table seating. Brats, hot dogs, chips, desserts and beverages are available for purchase during the concert.
Planning includes Pre-concert Cocktail Party, Food & Beverages, Publicity, Ticket Sales and Clean-up. All proceeds from the concert support the St. Timothy's Outreach Ministry.
Chairs for 2010 are Tina Heurer and Stan Viglione.
Flower Festival
St. Timothy's sell flowers at the annual Flower Festival at Christ Church Cathedral in downtown St. Louis each spring. Funds raised support Outreach projects.
Grocery Certificates
Gift cards may be purchased before or after weekend services. We receive between 4 and 10 percent of the purchase price. All funds raised support the Rector's Discretionary Fund, which supports those in need both within and outside the parish.
Stray Rescue collection
We collect requested items for Stray Rescue at the annual St. Francis Blessing of the Pets service in October. Requested items often include cat & dog food, toys, and old towels.
United Thank Offering
The United Thank Offering is a program of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole Church, founded by and administered by women since 1889. The United Thank Offering Committee is a spiritual and financial partner in the mission work of The Episcopal Church, through every person in every pew. UTO is entrusted to promote thank offerings, to receive the offerings, and to distribute the United Thank Offering monies through grants. The Committee awards and administers these grants within the framework of the policies and procedures of the Domestic and Foreign Missionary Society (DFMS) of The Episcopal Church.
