What if I'm not Episcopalian?
First of all, welcome! Many people in the St. Tim's community come from backgrounds other than the Episcopal Church. While many of us have grown up in the Episcopal Church, our community is described as Episcopalian because of our historic and theological heritage, not because you must be Episcopalian to come to Saint Timothy's! Our Episcopal identity is meant to be neither a sort of pedigree nor a box into which we force others.
We seek to welcome guests to our worship by offering an easy-to-use bulletin for each. Also, you may observe people sitting, standing or kneeling at different times during theservice - you are welcome to participate in any way that feels comfortable to you. Finally, we welcome all baptized people to take communion at Saint Timothy's.
Feel free to ask any member of the Saint Tim's community about their experience here. Father Jack (jfleming@saint-tims.org)or Pastor Emily (emily@saint-tims.org)are also always happy to meet with anyone who has questions about St. Timothy's, the Christian faith, or the Episcopal Church - we can be reached by email or by calling the church office at (314) 434-5906.
